Tim Howard and Everton face Brad Friedel and Tottenham in a Premier League battle, while Clint Dempsey looks to continue is strong year in Fulham's game against Aston Villa.

Everton - Tottenham Hotspur

In a battle of American goalies, Tim Howard and Everton host Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park this weekend.

Both Howard and Friedel are regular starters for their respective teams and should see the field on Saturday.

The Toffees are coming off a draw against Queens Park Rangers last week and are on an 8 game unbeaten run in all competitions. They find themselves in 13th place in the standings and hope to jump into the top half of the Premier League with a win.

Spurs beat Stevenage in midweek FA Cup play, but the London side has lost two straight league games. The defeats have severely dented their title hopes, but they hope to get back to winning ways on Saturday.

Darron Gibson looks to miss for Everton, while Michael Dawson's injury suffered in the midweek looks to sideline the centerback for the rest of the season for Spurs.

Aston Villa - Fulham

Clint Dempsey and Fulham travel to take on Brad Guzan, Eric Lichaj, and Aston Villa in Premier League action.

Dempsey is expected to feature for the Cottagers. Guzan and Lichaj are likely to start on the bench.

The Texan is coming off another stellar performance, as he scored two goals in Fulham's drumming of Wolverhampton last week. Dempsey now has 12 goals in league play.

Fulham are in 8th place and could equal Liverpool in points with a win and a Liverpool loss. The Cottagers have won three straight league games.

Villa goes into the game in difficult form, as they are winless in their last six games in all competitions. They are in 15th place, 8 points above the relegation zone.

Lichaj will be pushing for playing time, as he has recovered from a hip injury.

Bryan Ruiz could return to the field after missing last week's win for Fulham because of illness.

Norwich City - Wigan Athletic

Zak Whitbread and Norwich City take on Wigan Ahtletic from Carrow Road on Sunday.

Whitbread is a regular starter and should be in the starting lineup this weekend. The center back had another solid outing last week against Stoke, despite the Canaries losing the game.

Norwich has lost three games straight and has fallen to 11th place in the standings. They hope to get back to winning ways against Wigan.

The Latics are in last place in the standings and three points from safety. They have only won one game in their last 13.

The Canaries look to be without James Vaughan and Marc Tierney.

Bolton Wanderers - Queens Park Rangers

Tim Ream and Bolton host Queens Park Rangers in a relegation battle.

Ream has settled in nicely at Bolton and should feature once again this weekend. The center defender started at midfield last week.

Bolton lost to Premier League leaders Manchester City last week, but they hope Birmingham to grab three points and jump out of the relegation zone.

QPR tied Everton last week, but a win this time around would give the London side a cushion between them and the relegation zone.

Bolton's Stuart Holden continues on the injury list as he is in rehab because of a knee problem.

Kieron Dyer looks to miss for Rangers.

Coventry City - Birmingham City

Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City take on Coventry City in Championship action this weekend.

Spector is a regular starter for the Blues and should be in the lineup once again. Will Packwood made it onto Birmingham's game day roster this week and hopes to be on it once again this Saturday.

Birmingham has hit a bit of a rough patch, as they have gone winless in their last three games in all competitions. They lost to Chelsea in the midweek in FA Cup play. The Blues had gone 15 games unbeaten before this recent spell.

Coventry has had a tough season thus far and find themselves in the relegation zone. They are three points from safety and would love to reach safety with a win and some help this weekend.

Carlisle United - Bury

Frank Simek and Carlisle United host Bury in League One action.

Simek is a regular starter for the Cumbrians and should be in the starting lineup this weekend.

Carlisle is coming off a win over Rochdale in the midweek and they hope to duplicate that performance on Saturday. They are currently just one point from a playoff spot.

Bury is in 15th place and six points from the relegation zone. They have gone nine games winless and hope to end their skid against the Cumbrians.

Robbie Rogers has been cleared to play in Leeds United's game against Middlesbrough after sustaining a concussion a couple of weeks ago in his debut for the team.

Conor Doyle hopes to make the game day roster in Derby County's game against Watford.

Robbie Findley could feature in Nottingham Forest's match against Millwall.

Anton Peterlin hopes for playing time in Walsall's game against Hartlepool United.
