Should U.S. Soccer bring back the U.S. Cup?
Absolutely. It would be far more competitive than the CONCACAF Nations League.
No. The international calendar is already congested.
Not sure.

Tim Howard and Everton hope to get back to winning ways as they play Sunderland in FA Cup play, while Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur take on Tim Ream and Bolton in cup competition.

Everton - Sunderland

Tim Howard and Everton welcome Sunderland to Goodison Park for FA Cup action this weekend.

Howard is a regular starter for Everton and should be in the lineup.

The Toffees nine game unbeaten streak was finally snapped with their loss to Liverpool this week. They hope to get back into the win column in FA Cup play.

Both Sunderland and Everton are tied at 37 points, well above the relegation zone. A shot at a Europa League spot seems to be well out of either team's reach, so the FA Cup comes as a lucrative prize.

Nicklas Bendtner and Kieran Richardson are questionable to play for Sunderland while Darron Gibson will miss for Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur - Bolton Wanderers

Brad Freidel and Tottenham Hotspur take on Tim Ream and Bolton. Friedel has not played for Spurs in their FA Cup games and it is unlikely that he features this weekend.

Ream made his Bolton debut in the competition and has been a regular in the Bolton lineup ever since. The former New York Red Bull should be in the lineup for Bolton.

Spurs took down Stevenage in the last round of the competition, while Bolton beat Millwall.

Tottenham goes into this game in a slump, as the London team has not been victorious in league play in over a month. They are in third place, having lost pace with the Manchester clubs, and are above Arsenal by just one point.

Bolton is just one point above the relegation zone, but they did beat Queens Park Rangers last week. They hope that win will create momentum and carry on against Spurs.

Stuart Holden continues to rehab and will miss for Bolton.

Fulham - Swansea City

Clint Dempsey and Fulham play Swansea City at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Dempsey is a regular starter for the Cottagers and should be in this weekend's starting lineup.

Fulham lost to Aston Villa last week in the dying minutes of the game, but prior to that they had won three straight games in league play. The Cottagers are in tenth place in the standings and could jump a couple spots with a win.

Swansea is tied with Fulham in the standings and also could jump into the top half of the Premier League standings with a win. They are the winners of two straight league games and hope to extend that streak to three.

Nathan Dyer will miss for Swansea because of suspension.

Newcastle United - Norwich City

Zak Whitbread and Norwich City travel to play Newcastle United in league play. Whitbread is a regular starter for the Canaries and should be in the starting lineup this Sunday.

After a decent run, which had the Canaries in the top half of the standings, Norwich has gone winless in their last four games. They are in 12th place and can jump back into the top half of the standings with a win.

Newcastle goes into the game in sixth place in the standings, just five points from Chelsea who hold a Europa League spot. United though has gone winless in their last four games and will need a win to keep pace with the Premier League's elite.

The Canaries look to be without Daniel Ayala, James Vaughan, and Marc Tierney.

AFC Bournemouth - Carlisle United

Frank Simek and Carlisle United travel to take on AFC Bournemouth in League One play. Simek is a regular starter for the Cumbrians and should be in the lineup once again this weekend.

AFC goes into the game having lost their last five games. Prior to that they had lost only one in nine games.

The Cumbrians have won three out of their last four games and is just one point from a playoff position.

Jonathan Spector left Birmingham City's loss to Leicester City in the midweek with an injury and he is questionable to feature against Middlesbrough. Will Packwood is not likely to feature for the Blues as well.

Robbie Rogers has been cleared to play for Leeds after suffering a concussion in February. He hopes to find the field in Leeds United's game against West Ham United. Daniel Potts is not likely to feature.

Conor Doyle is not likely to see the field in Derby County's game against Doncaster Rovers.

Anton Peterlin hopes to feature in Walsall's game against Yeovil Town.
