Seb Hines and Middlesbrough hurt their promotion dreams with a draw against Doncaster, while Stevenage dented Frank Simek and Carlisle United's own hopes for Championship soccer next season.

Middlesbrough 0 - 0 Doncaster Rovers

Seb Hines and Middlesbrough were held to a draw by lowly Doncaster Rovers in Championship action. Hines started and went the distance for Boro.

The loss hurts Middlesbrough's chances of making the promotion playoffs. With two games left in the season, Boro trails Cardiff City and Blackpool by four points for the final spot in postseason play.

Doncaster nearly had a penalty kick in the first half, but Hines was not called for a foul when he took down Chris Brown in the box.

Boro had the majority of the shots and possession throughout the game though, but they were not able to find the back of the net.

Kyle Bennett saw yellow for Doncaster. Middlesbrough takes on Southampton in a must win, while Doncaster travel to play Cardiff City.

Stevenage 1 - 0 Carlisle United

Frank Simek and Carlisle United lost to Stevenage in Tuesday League One action. Simek started and went the distance for the Cumbrians.

Substitute John Mousinho scored the only goal of the game for Stevenage in the 76th minute when he received a long pass from Stacy Long and impressively found the back of the net passed Carlisle ‘keeper Adam Collin.

Bernard Zoko and James Berrett were booked for the Cumbrians.

Both teams are now tied in points in the standings. They trail Notts County by one point for the last spot in the playoffs with three games left to play in the season.

Stevenage takes on Brentford this weekend, while Carlisle travels to play Sheffield Wednesday.

Crawley Town 3 - 1 Northampton Town

Neal Kitson and Northampton Town went down to Crawley Town in League Two play on Tuesday. Kitson started and went the distance at ‘keeper for Northampton.

Crawley Town started the game on fire with three first half goals. Scott Neilsen and Billy Clarke were the first to score, while Kitson unfortunately knocked in a deflected ball into his own net.

Brett Williams got one back for Northampton in the 65th minute, but it was not enough in the end.

Crawley Town takes Dagenham & Redbridge this weekend, while Northampton Town play Hereford United.

Notes

Conor Doyle did not feature in Derby County's loss to Cardiff City.

Cody Cropper did not make the game day roster in Ipswich Town's draw with Birmingham City. The Blues were without Jonathan Spector who is out injured.

Robbie Findley did not feature in Nottingham Forest's loss to Reading.

Robbie Rogers is injured and did not feature in Leeds United's loss to Blackpool.
