BRENDAN WIMBERLY - Thursday, April 19, 2012
Brian Edwards and Degerfors will try to turn their poor fortunes around while Ryan Miller and Halmstad look to take all the points in their encounter with Ljungskile.

Ljungskile SK - Halmstad BK

Patrick Hopkins and Steffen Vroom will be looking to guide Ljungskile to their first points of the season but Ryan Miller and Halmstad stand in their way.

Ljungskile will be looking to impress their home fans after a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Jonkoplings Sodra last week while Halmstad are hoping to carry over the same good play which helped them defeat Degerfors 2-0.

Neither teams are reporting any injuries or suspensions.

Degerfors IF - Umea FC

Brian Edwards will hope to turn his fortunes around in net this week when Degerfors host Umea.

Degerfors has been shaky at both ends of the field through their first two games, allowing five goals while only scoring one.

Edwards looks set to receive the start again, but should be monitored up until match time as he sustained a head injury on Halmstad second goal last week. Neither team has any additional injuries to report or any suspensions.

Hammarby IF - IF Brommapojkarna

Gregg Berhalter hopes to continue his successful start as Hammarby manager Monday when they host Brommapojkarna. Both teams have garnered a perfect six points from their first two matches.

Baggio Husidic and Billy Schuler are both probable to start the game for Hammarby as they were each involved in one goal in last weeks 2-1 victory over Umea.

Neither team has any suspensions or injuries to report this week.

Notes

Sam Petrone's Mjallby and Cobi Span's Djurgardens meet in the Allsvenskan this week, but it is unlikely that either American will see the field for their respective clubs.

Matt Pyzdrowski, Lester Dewee and their Ängelholms teammates suffered their first loss of the season on Thursday night, going down to their hosts Oster IF by a 2-1 scoreline. Pyzdrowski played the full game in goal, while Dewee entered the game as an 86th-minute sub.
