With just a few weeks to go before the USMNT camp is set to open ahead of its first World Cup Qualifier, midfielder Danny Williams has suffered a shoulder injury that could see him miss the upcoming games.

Williams suffered a muscle tear in his shoulder yesterday while taking part in a strength training exercise.

"He injured his shoulder in the gym and will be out 4-6 weeks," Hoffenheim press officer Marcel Kamm told YA on Wednesday.

The injury will also keep Williams from playing in the final two Bundesliga games of the season for Hoffenheim.

Williams has been a regular with the US national team since acquiring his American passport in late September. Williams was born in Germany but has an American father who served in the US military and was stationed in Germany.
