Despite strong interest from Stuttgart, USMNT right back has decided to sign a contract extension with FC Nurnberg that runs for three more seasons.

"The new contract goes until 2015," FC Nurnberg press officer Katharina Wildermuth told YA on Wednesday.

Chandler joined FC Nurnberg in 2010 from Eintracht Frankfurt where he played as a youth player.

After playing the first half of the 2010/211 season with FC Nurnberg's U-23 team, Chandler broke into the first team after a strong performance during winter break friendlies. In his first few months in the Bundesliga, Chandler emerged as a key player for the club.

This current season, Chandler has played both right back and right wing but has remained a consistent starter for Nurnberg.

Nurnberg currently sits in 11th place in the Bundesliga. They are, however, only three points away from eighth place Werder Bremen.

This Saturday they visit Hoffeneheim and the following week they will conclude their season at home against Bayer Leverkusen.

Now that TC has his long term contract perhaps he can tell his club to go jump in a lake when they object to him playing for the USMNT.
