BRIAN SCIARETTA - Friday, May 4, 2012
Leo Krupnik and Maccabi Netanya face a crucial game on Saturday in their pursuit of the Europa League when they host Bryan Gerzicich and Kiryat Shmona who have already clinched the title.

Krupnik is likely to start in central defense for Netanya while Gerzicich is probably for Kiryat Shmona however they may experiment with lineups since their position as league champions is assured.

Netanya were in second place a week ago but a loss on Monday to Maccabi Tel Aviv has seen them drop to fourth place. They are now two points out of second and they trail third place Bnei Yehuda by only goal differential.

Kiryat Shmona has long since clinched the league title and they currently are 15 points cleared of second place Hapoel Tel Aviv. It is their first ever Israeli title.

There are currently only three games remaining in the Israeli Premier League.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
