PREVIEW: WEEKEND NORWEGIAN ACTION
EXTRA TIME
MATHEW WAGNER - Friday, May 18, 2012
Josh Gatt and Molde hope to continue its three-game winning streak, while Ricardo Clark, Sean Cunningham and Stabæk play for the first time since the death of a teammate.

Sandnes Ulf - Molde FK

Molde travels to Sandnes Ulf with the future of its coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, unknown.

American winger Joshua Gatt should start on the right side of the Molde attack.

English Premier League team Aston Villa has expressed interest in Solskjaer, with CEO Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen of Molde confirming the interest Friday morning.

This news comes as the defending champions have won three in a row. The team currently sits in second place, one point behind league leaders Strømsgodset.

Sandnes Ulf is experiencing some controversy itself this week. Goalkeeper Bo Andersen kicked Odd Grenland's Herolind Shala toward the end of Wednesday's 2-2 tie but was not sent off. The team does not expect retrospective action against its goalkeeper.

Molde will be without Børre Stenslid and Emmanuel Ekpo. Sandnes Ulf will be without Bjørnar Holmvik and Andreas Westly.

Stabæk IF - FK Haugesund

Sunday's match at Nadderud Stadium will be emotional, when Haugesund travels to Stabæk.

Americans Sean Cunningham and Ricardo Clark should start at center back and central midfield, respectively.

On Monday morning, 22-year-old defender Tor-Marius Gromstad was found dead in Oslo, causing Wednesday's match against Vålerenga to be postponed.

Although certain to play with high emotions, Stabæk has a tough task to turn its season around against fourth place Haugesund.

Stabæk will be without Torstein Andersen Aase and Vegar Eggen Hedenstad, while Haugesund will be without Erik Mæland and Chris Pozniak.

Hønefoss BK - Vålerenga Oslo

Hønefoss will try to avoid to a letdown against Vålerenga Saturday after an upset win in the midweek.

American Steve Clark should start in net for Hønefoss, while forward Kenneth di Vita Jensen should make the bench.

Clark and Co. shocked Rosenborg, one of the favorites to win the Tippeligaen this season, on the road Wednesday. A late goal and Clark's fifth shutout of the season put Hønefoss into sixth place.

Hønefoss will be without Vegard Gjermundstad and Roope Riski. Vålerenga will be without André Muri, Sidoine Oussou, Aleksander Solli and Yssouf Koné due to injury and Fegor Ogude due to yellow card accumulation.

Bærum SK - Hamarkameratene

Bærum will hope to calm a hot Hamarkameratene team while trying to earn its first win in the Adeccoligaen on Sunday.

American Sebastian Troupe should start somewhere on the backline for Bærum.

After starting the season with three losses, HamKam are on a four-game unbeaten streak, launching the team from last place to 10th.

Bærum has been on the opposite trajectory, riding a three-game losing streak coming into the match.

Bærum will be without Thomas Finstad. HamKam will be without Oddbjørn Lie, Ivar Rønningen and Dyre Ekeberg Schjerve, while Truls Jevne Hagen is uncertain.

Notes

American Kyle Helton is uncertain for Mjøndalen's match against Adeccoligaen leader Start. Rhett Bernstein will miss the game because he was sent off in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to Sarpsborg 08.
