CASTILLO JOINS TIJUANA PERMANENTLY
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
BRIAN SCIARETTA - Thursday, June 7, 2012
US national team left back Edgar Castillo had been with Tijuana on loan this past season but that deal has been made permanent.

Castillo, 25, will now be a full-time member of the Tijuana but the deal runs only through the 2012 Mexican Apertura.

"As of now, the move is only trough next season - through December 2012," Castillo's agent Eddie Rock told YA on Thursday. "At that point Edgar will be out of contract."

Castillo is currently a member of the 23 player roster for the US national team as they prepare for the start or 2014 World Cup qualifying tomorrow night against Antigua and Barbuda in Tampa.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
