BRENDAN WIMBERLY - Friday, July 20, 2012
Brian Edwards and Degerfors face a challenge against Osters while Ryan Miller and Halmstad square off against Falkenberg in a derby match.

Ljungskile SK - Trelleborg FF

Patrick Hopkins and his Ljungskile teammates hope to improve their poor form when they host Trelleborg this weekend.

It's been nearly a month since Ljungskile have picked up a point, losing their last two games which included a 1-0 loss to Trelleborg right before the Superettans mid season break.

Hopkins fellow American at Ljungskile, Steffen Vroom has sadly been forced to end his career due to severe concussion problems.

In addition to losing Vroom, Ljungskile still look to be without Brazilian defender Josemar.

Kristian Haynes, Tuomo Turunen and Joakim Nilsson all missed Trelleborgs friendly match this past week and are questionable for the game on Saturday.

Degerfors IF - Osters IF

Brian Edwards and Degerfors will be making the most of their home field advantage, offering free admission when they host Osters on Saturday.

The two clubs met in their last game with Osters hosting. Although Osters won 2-0, Degerfors played very well and threatened to equalize before a late insurance goal sealed the result for the hosts.

Edwards will start in net for Degerfors, who are fielding a full squad and will look to get Peter Samuelsson involved in his first game back from his loan to Orebro.

Alexander Henningson is a question mark for Osters, having sustained a head injury in the last meeting right before the Summer break, but has yet to be confirmed healthy or injured for the game.

Varberg BoIS - Angelholm FF

Fourth place Angelholm and their American Keeper Matt Pyzdrowski will kick off the second half of the Superettan season when they travel to face Varberg.

The two clubs met right before the Summer break with Angelholm prevailing with a 3-2 victory.

Tobias Johansson, Andreas Karlsson, Gabriel Ucar, Zeyn S-Latef and Martin Andersen all missed that match for Angelholm, and confirmation has yet to come through on their potential participation for this weekends game.

Varberg are relatively healthy at midseason but they're still without midfielder Pierre Tillman.

Falkenberg FF - Halmstad BK

Halmstad and Falkenberg face off in a derby match this weekend as American defender Ryan Miller and his Halmstad teammates will try to rebound after dropping a disappointing result to Brage earlier in the week.

Miller has started every game this season at right back for Halmstad and theres no reason to believe that will change this weekend.

Although in third place in the Superettan, Halmstad haven't won in their last three matches and are surely hungry to start picking up more points to aid their realistic aspiration to gain promotion to the Allsvenskan.

Neither club are currently affected by any injuries.
