Torres should start for Pachuca
After strong performances last week, Herculez Gomez, Edgar Castillo and Joe Corona will look to keep up the momentum in week two.

Santos Laguna - Chivas

Herculez Gomez, who scored the game winner last week against San Luis, and should start again this week against title contenders Chivas.

This early test between the two league giants could have title implications, as Chivas aims to rebound with a vengeance after last season's disappointing run that saw them in last place at one time.

Santos had a surprisingly slow start against San Luis last week, but if it mimics last season's slow start there should be no worries in Torreon as their diesel engine offense gets warmed up and set to full speed.

Chivas lost their opening game to Toluca, and will see this meeting with Santos as a must-win already.

Both teams are expecting to have all players available for selection.

Tijuana - Leon

After starting the season off on the right foot, Edgar Castillo and Joe Corona are expected to start again for Tijuana as they take on old second division rivals Leon. Greg Garza will expect to be available on the bench.

Tijuana's 2-0 victory over Puebla in their opening game was a boost of confidence to an ambitious team, but Leon will be feeling the same surge after their own 2-0 victory over Queretaro.

Leon will be without starting defender Juan Gonzalez Ibarra due to red card suspension.

Tijuana will have all players available for selection.

Pachuca - Atlas

Jose Torres expects to start again for Pachuca and improve upon last week's disappointing scoreless tie with Atlante.

Pachuca will face off at home against the perennial mid-table finishers, and will likely have the upper hand on paper. Atlas tied 1-1 with Pumas last week, needing an own goal to rescue the point. Starting defender Facundo Erpen was ejected in the 90th minute after picking up his second yellow card.

Atlas will have all players available minus Erpen. Pachuca will have all players available for selection.

San Luis - Cruz Azul

Michael Orozco will be in the middle of the defense again for San Luis, as they look to take a little bit of momentum from their midweek Copa MX victory as they play host to title contenders Cruz Azul.

Orozco and the San Luis defense had an abysmal Clausura, but showed signs of life against Santos last week, despite the loss. Cruz Azul is another title contender coming off of a slow opening game, with a scoreless tie against Morelia.

Both teams will have all players available for selection.

DaMarcus Beasley came off injured in Puebla's last game, and it is unclear whether or not he will be available for selection against Toluca.

Jonathan Bornstein played the final four minutes for Tigres last week against Jaguares, and could see more time again this week against Queretaro.

Ventura Alvarado dressed last week for Club America, and played 90 minutes in their Copa MX game Wednesday. He could dress again as America plays Jaguares.

Stevie Rodriguez and Alejandro Guido are not expected to dress for Tijuana.

Marco Vidal should dress for Lobos BUAP as they play Correcaminos in second division action.

Adrian Ruelas will likely dress for Veracruz as they play Celaya in second division action.
