PREVIEW: MONDAY SWEDISH ACTION
PREVIEWS
EXTRA TIME
BRENDAN WIMBERLY - Sunday, August 26, 2012
Ryan Miller will partake in a big match against Brommapojkarna while Brian Edwards future with Degerfors is up in the air heading into Monday's game against Landskrona.

Landkrona BoIS - Degerfors IF

Brian Edwards is eligible to return from suspension this week after missing Wednesday's win over Assyriska due to yellow card accumulation. The American keeper is on uncertain terms with the club however, having rebuffed their attempts to extend his contract in the past week.

Degerfor's have stayed quiet on the issue of Edwards, but have acknowledged a mutual interest between themselves and 27 year old Ghanaian keeper William Amamo, who has three appearances for the West African nation.

Aside from the uncertainty surrounding Edwards, there are no potential glitches in manager Patrik Werner's starting lineup as there are no injuries to key players or suspensions to speak of.

Landskrona are not so fortunate. 26 year old striker Fredrik Karlsson has been forced to consider retirement after picking up his fourth concussion in last weeks game against Hammarby. Additionally, midfielder Thomas Raun will have to miss the match due to a suspension.

Brommapojkarna - Halmstad

Ryan Miller and Halmstad travel to face Brommapojkarna in a game between the second and third place teams in the Superettan. Halmstad are four points behind BP and a win on Monday could bring them to within one point of their opponents in second place, a position which guarantees promotion to the Allsvenskan without the hassle of playoffs.

HBK have already triumphed over BP once this season when they beat them 2-0 at home on May 24th. Miller started that game as he has every league game for Halmstad this year. In addition to providing solid defense at right back, he has been a huge of his teams offensive success as well, being tied for third in the Superettan with six assists.

Halmstad have been unbelievably fortunate on the injury front as they have featured the same starting lineup in 17 out of 20 games this season, and have everyone available for this weekends matchup. BP are not reporting any injuries or suspensions either.
