JOHN KRETLOW - Monday, October 1, 2012
Jonathan Spector and Will Packwood look to lead Birmingham City to victory against Cardiff City, while Frank Simek and Carlisle United take to the road and play lowly Bury.
Cardiff City - Birmingham City
Jonathan Spector, Will Packwood, and Birmingham City hit the road and play Cardiff City in midweek Championship action.
Spector went the distance in Birmingham City's weekend match, while Packwood played eighty minutes in defense after not featuring since early-September. Both look to see the field in some capacity on Tuesday.
The Blues beat Brighton & Hove Albion in their last game and have only lost one game in their last five.
Cardiff is coming off a win over Blackpool. They are currently second in the standings and have won four out of their last five games.
Both teams drew the last time they played each other, though Cardiff did beat the Blues the last time they met in Cardiff City Stadium.
Birmingham look to be without Stephen Carr, Paul Caddis, David Murphy, and Pablo Ibanez.
Bury - Carlisle United
Frank Simek should be in the starting lineup on Tuesday as Carlisle United take on Bury in League One play.
Carlisle is coming off a tough loss this weekend against Crawley Town. Tuesday's game will be their third in less than a week, so the Cumbrians look to avoid heavy legs against the home team.
Bury is having a difficult season, as they yet to even notch their first win. They are dead last in the standings and will need to start punching wins soon if they don't want to dig themselves too deep of a hole to escape.
The Cumbrians have won the last seven meetings between the two and they hope Tuesday will be no different.
Lee Miller looks to miss for Carlisle.
Northampton Town - Gillingham
Robbie Findley and Gillingham take to the road to play Northampton Town in a League Two clash.
Findley is on loan from Nottingham Forest and has featured regularly since arriving. He started last weekend's game, but because of a red card early on, the team was forced to change formations and sub out the American.
Findley looks to be in the starting lineup on Tuesday, and will hope that the team can avoid any other extenuating circumstances this time around.
Gillingham lost to Rochdale this weekend after having won four games straight. They lead the League Two standings by six points and hope to extend that lead with a win against Northampton.
Town has lost just one game in their last six. They drew with Burton Albion in their last game, but hope to notch three points instead on Tuesday.
Charlie Lee and Jack Payne look to miss with injury for Gillingham.
Zak Whitbread hopes to feature in Leicester City's game against Huddersfield Town.
Tim Ream could see time in Bolton's game against Leeds United.
Seb Hines hopes to make the game day lineup in Middlesbrough's game against Derby County. Conor Doyle could see time for Derby.
Robbie Rogers could see some minutes in Stevenage's game against Notts County.
Mike Grella hopes to see the field in Scunthorpe United's match with Tranmere Rovers.
Jon Paul Pittman hopes to make the game day roster in Oxford United's AFC Wimbledon.
