With USMNT camp set to open on Monday in California, Sporting Kansas City midfielder Graham Zusi will miss the first week as he is set to train at West Ham United.

Zusi, 26, broke into the US national team last year and enjoyed a successful year in MLS with Sporting Kansas City. Now he will train with West Ham United of the English Premier League before reporting the US national team camp in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 13.

"Graham Zusi will leave tomorrow [on Saturday] to train at West Ham," a source told YA on Friday. "He will report to the US national team the following weekend. Initially he was not going to arrive at camp late but Jurgen moved the start date of the camp to a week earlier."

A native of Orlando, Florida, Zusi has played his entire professional career with Kansas City after he was drafted in the second round of the 2009 MLS draft following playing in the NCAA with Maryland.

Maybe they will sign him after they see him in practice against Joe Cole!
