PREVIEW: CATANIA CALCIO - AS ROMA
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
SCOTT PETERSON - Thursday, January 10, 2013
Michael Bradley is set to start for AS Roma on Sunday as the Giallorossi look to get back in the win column against Calcio Catania Sunday afternoon.

Calcio Catania - AS Roma

Bradley and Roma make the trip to Sicily this weekend to do battle as the Romans look to get their first points of the new calendar year after suffering a resounding defeat a week ago at the hands of Napoli.

First on the order for Roma's skipper Zdenek Zeman is to shore up the porous defense, which has been a blemish on an otherwise successful first half of the year. The four conceded a week ago ran the total up to 36 in 19 outings.

Goals have not been an issue for AS Roma tallying the highest league total of 43 - three more than leaders Juventus. The Giallorossi is also the only team able to boast of two strikers with double-digit goal totals (Erik Lamela and Paolo Osvaldo with ten apiece).

The Romans seem to be catching the Sicilians at an opportune time as Catania is winless in their past two matches falling to Pescara and tying Torino.

Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. in Catania at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
