Racing Santander Manager José Aurelio Gay stated that central defender Carlos Bocanegra missed training on Thursday with lower back pain.

"The footballer has been summoned to Las Palmas, so [his inclusion] in the [team] or not depends solely on the decision of coach Jose Aurelio Gay," confirmed Racing Santander Press Officer Enrique Palacio told YA.

The US national team captain will travel to the Canary Island's for tomorrow's match against Las Palmas but he will be a manager's decision tomorrow.

Racing Santander have been beset by financial problems and currently sit in 19th place in the 20 team Segunda with relegation emerging as a serious possibility. Bocanegra is currently on loan with the Spanish club from Rangers in Scotland.

First off, I must admit, this is as much a plausible wish-list as it is an attempt to decipher Klinsmann's plan.
