After winning the Belgian league title last year, Sacha Kljestan has signed a new deal with RSC Anderlecht through 2016.

"Sacha Kljestan signed a new contract today," RSC Anderlecht press officer David Steegen told YA on Friday. "He will play for RSC Anderlecht until June 2016."

Kljestan, 27, began his professional career with Chivas USA in 2006 but transferred to Anderlecht in 2010. Anderlecht are coming off their first Champions League group stage appearance since 2006.

Anderlecht is currently in first place in Belgium and hold a six point advantage over second place Zulte-Waregem.

Anderlecht return to action this Sunday when it visits 12th place Waasland-Beveren.
