Carlos Bocanegra hopes to return to the Racing Santander lineup as they travel to the southwest of Spain and take on Recreativo Huelva on Saturday.

Bocanegra missed last week's 1-0 home win against Huesca due to international duties with the United States in Honduras and will hope to return this weekend when Racing go for their third straight win.

Racing are now in 21st position and only two points from safety as they take on 9th placed Huelva, who have also won two straight. They are lead by young striker Chuli, who leads the team with 13 goals on the season and has consecutive go ahead goals in each of their last two matches.

Bocanegra is battling the flu and missed Wednesday's training and it's uncertain whether he'll suit up on Saturday for the match. Racing will be without Gonzalo Herrero and Gay Assulin, who continue to recover from long-term injuries.

Huelva has been in closed practices this week and has not announced any injuries at this time.

Notes

Oguchi Onyewu is not expected to play as Málaga host Athletic Club on Saturday.
