Carlos Bocanegra hopes to get back into Racing Santander's lineup after missing two straight games, but Oguchi Onyewu looks like the odd man out again.

Racing Santander - Mirandés

Carlos Bocanegra missed the first game due to his late arrival after traveling with the US to Honduras and last week; he was an unused sub after suffering with the flu earlier in the week. It remains unclear if he will start this weekend.

It looked as though Racing had finally figured things out when successive wins until they were downed 1-0 by Recreativo Huelva last week. Racing find themselves in 21st position but only trail Mirandés by four points and can gain some ground with a win.

Mirandés is coming off a 1-0 loss at home to Real Murcia and are led by striker Inigo Díaz de Cerio, who leads the team with six goals.

Racing will be shorthanded on Saturday as they are missing Gai Assulin and Gonzalo Herrero to long-term injuries. They will also potentially be without defender Tiago Pinto with a strained leg muscle and Oscar Perez, who also suffered a slight strain in practice this week.

They also missed Dani Sotres, Jairo and Juanmi this week, who were all representing the Spanish U20 team. Mirandés has not announced any injuries in the lead up to Saturday's match.

Oguchi Onyewu is not expected to start as Málaga travel to Real Betis.
