PREVIEW: WEEKEND ISRAELI ACTION
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
ANDY SCHREUR - Thursday, March 7, 2013
Bryan Gerzicich and Ironi Kiryat Shmona will finish out the Israeli League on Saturday when they welcome Bnei Sakhnin.

The Blue Lions have qualified for the playoffs and are currently in fourth place. They only trail Maccabi Tel Aviv by one point and can leapfrog them with a win this weekend.

Sakhnin comes limping into the end of the season and have not won a league match since February 2 or even scored a goal since February 10th.

Kiryat Shmona, on the other hand, have posted two consecutive shutouts and have been stout at the back in 2013. Kiryat Shmona has not allowed more than one opposition match since a 4-3 win over Maccabi Netanya on December 29.

The Blue Lions received good news this week as David Solari, a key figure in last year's championship run, may see his first game action of the season on Saturday after suffering an injury almost eight months ago.

Notes

Leonard Krupnik is not expected to play for Maccabi Netanya as they finish their season against Maccabi Haifa.

Ryan Adeleye and Hapoel Ashkelon play Maccabi Umm Al Fahm on Monday.
