Deal keeps Holden at Bolton thru 2013
BRIAN SCIARETTA - Thursday, September 30, 2010
Bolton Wanderers today announced that American midfielder Stuart Holden has inked a contract extension with the club that will keep him at Reebok Stadium through the summer of 2013.

The US international joined the club in January after a successful career in MLS with the Houston Dynamo. Since arriving at Bolton, Holden has emerged as a regular starter.

Despite suffering a broken leg in March after a harsh tackle by Holland's Nigel Je Jong, Holden has recovered well and has continued to progress in England.

"He did terrifically last season and has started this campaign really well," Bolton Manager Owen Coyle said on the club's official website. "To now have him signed until 2013 tells you how committed Stuart is to the club. It also goes to show how committed the club are to Stuart."

Holden and Bolton Wanderers face West Bromwich Albion on the road this Saturday in English Premier League action.

Following that Holden is likely to be selected to the US national team's roster for the home friendlies against Poland on October 9th and then three days later versus Colombia on the 12th.
