Scotland are after Jack McBean

As US U-17 forward Jack McBean prepares for the U-17 World Cup next week, his allegiance to the United States soccer program will soon be put to the test.

McBean, 16, is a rising star with the US U-17 team and was born in the United States but holds dual citizenship with Scotland.

This fact has not been lost on Scotland head coach Craig Levein who told The Sunday Mail that he has spoken with McBean's father Calum about the possibility of McBean switching his national team affiliation to play for Scotland.

Levein said that he will meet face to face with Calum McBean again in the near future to discuss the matter further.

McBean has been a regular player with the US U-17 national team and was named to the World Cup team last week by head coach Wilmer Cabrera. Earlier this year he signed a professional contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
