JAMIE HILL - Friday, October 21, 2011
A pair of American forwards recorded their first professional goals this week during cup matches on Wednesday.

Stefan Jerome buried a tap-in that would prove to be the only goal in Sigma Olomouc's win over Spartak Sezimovo Usti, helping his club advance to the quarterfinals of the Czech cup on aggregate. Jerome, a 19 year old Floridian, signed with Traffic Sports and is on loan with Sigma until the end of 2011.

The former US U-17 international has made progress in his effort to break into Sigma's first team this season.

Meanwhile, 20 year old Velež Mostar forward Danijal Brkovic opened his professional account in a Bosnian cup match against crosstown rivals Zrinjski. On the play he took a long pass and got behind the defense before beating the keeper on a one-on-one

Brkovic, who was born in Croatia but grew up in Binghamton, signed with Velež in late 2010.
