Fulham hopes to keep Clint at Craven Cottage for years to come

Media reports out of England on Friday have said that Fulham have begun contract negotiations with Clint Dempsey for a new contract.

Dempsey is the all-time leading English Premier League goal scorer for an American and has 16 goals this season.

It is reported that Fulham are seeking a new three year deal.

Dempsey has been with Fulham since 2007 and has scored 45 Premier League goals for the London-based club. Prior to that Dempsey was with the New England Revolution since he turned professional in 2004.

As a native of Texas, Dempsey has also been a key part of the United States national team where he has scored in the 2006 and 2010 World Cups. He has been capped 83 times and has 25 goals including last week when he scored the match winner against Italy.
