Bryan Gerzicich is the latest to qualify

Yesterday Bryan Gezicich became the latest American to qualify for the Champions League, here is where others stand.

Bryan Gerzicich - Kiryat Shmona - Kiryat Shmona won the Israeli Premier League and will begin playing in the UEFA Champions League in the second qualifying round.

Josh Gatt - Molde - Molde won the Norwegian Eliteserien in 2011 and will begin playing in the UEFA Champions League in the second qualifying round.

Jozy Altidore - AZ Alkmaar - AZ currently sits in second place in Eredivisie and they trail leaders Ajax by one point. In the Eredivisie, the winner advances directly to the group stages and the second place finisher begins Champions League play in the third qualifying round.

Michael Parkhurst - FC Nordsjaelland - FCN currently sits in second place in the Danish Superliga. They trail leaders FC Copenhagen by three points. The Superliga champion place goes directly to the Champions League group stages and the runner up begins Champions League play in the third qualifying round.

Jermaine Jones - FC Shalke - Schalke currently sit comfortably in third place in Bundesliga. In the Bundesliga, the top three teams begin Champions League play in the group stages.

Sacha Kljestan - Anderlecht - Anderlecht currently sit in first place in the Belgian Pro League by just one point with the playoffs now underway. The top two teams in Belgium qualify for third qualifying round of Champions League

Mikikel Diskerud - Gent - Gent currently trail Club Brugge by three ponts for second place in Belgium and a spot in the third qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League.

Brad Friedel - Tottenham - The Suprs currently sit in fourth place in the English Premier League but are even on points with Arsenal for third place. Fourth place in the Premier League earns a spot in the final qualifying round of the Champions League whereas the top three places guarantee a spot in the group stages.

Rangers currently have three Americans but they are in administration and, as a result, cannot take part in European play
