Edu has finally left Scotland

It appears as if Stoke City will be acquiring their second American of the summer transfer window.

Over the weekend Stoke City confirmed that they have agreed to personal terms for US international Maurice Edu and that the only two hurdles are a physical and a new UK work permit.

Edu, 26, has been with the Rangers since 2008 when he made the move to Europe following two seasons with Toronto FC in MLS. Rangers, however, have been caught in a financial downfall this past year and now play in the Scottish Third Division which is the fourth tier in Scotland.

Now the Fontana, California native will move south to the English Premier League where he will join fellow US international Geoff Cameron who joined the team earlier this month.
