Hernandez has made his debut for the Guatemala-based club

Nearly four months after going on loan to Guatemala's Comunicaciones, Moises Hernandez has made his debut.

He recently made his first appearance when he came on as a 76th minute sub for the club in a 2-0 victory over Marquense on October 6. Comunicaciones are currently leading Guatemala's Liga Nacional and have a six point cushion over second place Municipal.

The 20 year old left back came through FC Dallas' academy system and signed a professional contract in July 2010. Hernandez found it difficult to see the field under veteran-oriented Dallas manager Schellas Hyndman; after two years, he had only one US Open Cup appearance to his name. In an effort to give the 20 year old defender more playing time, Dallas sent Hernandez on loan from June until the end of the year.

The Guatemalan league is an unorthodox choice for a developmental loan deal, but Hernandez, who is Guatemalan-American, has ties to the area.
