Gradski Stadion is where Marosevic now calls home
JAMIE HILL - Monday, October 15, 2012
Former US U-20 forward Peri Marosevic has signed with NK Junak Sinj in the Druga HNL, the second level of Croatian soccer.

Marosevic, who was born in what is now Bosnia and Herzegovina, had been out of contract since turning down an offer from Toronto FC at the end of the 2011 MLS season.

Before signing with Junak in August, Marosevic trialed with Silkeborg (Denmark), Ferencvaros (Hungary), and the Colorado Rapids.

Marosevic rose to prominence in the US youth ranks in 2008, when he bagged 13 goals for the Michigan Wolverines, signed a Generation Adidas contract with MLS, and was drafted by FC Dallas. In 2009, he was selected for the US U-20 World Cup squad.

However, Marosevic made just four appearances for the Hoops over two and a half seasons before asking for a release. He fared somewhat better in Toronto, but opted to roll the dice on a foreign adventure instead of accepting a contract offer.

NK Junak Sinj currently sit in last place of the Druga HNL with only four points in eight games
