The US team outclassed Guatemala on Friday night and here are the match ratings

Rimando 6.5 Untested for most of the night, passing was great, left his box questionably on a miscommunication with Goodson.

Beasley 7.0 Strong night from the captain. Moved freely up and down the left side, his movement creating several opportunities for other midfielders to move off the ball.

Onyewu 7.0 Matched Minor Lopez's strength, kept the Guatemala offense without a significant threat on goal.

Goodson 7.5 Solid defense in the back, was an offensive threat in the box. His goal was smartly taken as he put it high above the melee on the ground in front of him. His header on frame in the first half was well taken and should've been finished by Beckerman.

Parkhurst 6.5 Quiet but productive night, didn't get forward too much, but didn't allow much activity down the right side.

Torres 5.0 Had an uptight start. The Guatemalan defense frustrated him, but he place a perfect cross in front of the face of goal in the first half for the opening goal.

Beckerman 5.5 Extremely active in the midfield, should have finished a chance in the first half, was great getting into passing lanes.

Donovan 8.0 Made his presence felt, energy was very high. He made a veteran move to draw the penalty and put it away. Excellent run and placement on his second goal.

Corona 5.0 Appeared a bit tense in the first half. Got himself in good positions but had trouble distributing the ball, at times taking one too many touches and losing possession.

Castillo 5.5 Played well in his left midfield role, but had a difficult time figuring out the Guatemalan bunker defense.

Gomez 6.5 fairly quiet, tracked back in the midfield, good finish on the cross from Torres.

Holden 8.0 His footwork was great, helped with Diskeruud to dominate the midfield. His passing was crisp, and his chip to Donovan was a thing of beauty.

Diskeruud 7.5 Dominant alongside Holden in the midfield. He was able to push forward, and distributed the ball very well to his teammates.

Shea 7.0 Brought a lot of energy into the game, and made several good runs down the left hand side. Crosses were very dangerous, runs off the ball were very impressive.

Wondolowski 6.5 Got his first goal for the National Team, moved well off the ball.

Bedoya 7.0 Made some good runs in the midfield, goal was well taken from a tough angle.

Bruin 6.0 Unlucky not to get a goal, put himself in great positions all night.
