Brek Shea will be heading out on loan according to the British publication, the Telegraph.

Ever since joining Stoke City in January, Shea has dealt with injuries and has struggled to earn playing time. In an effort for him to see some minutes on the field, Stoke City will reportedly go out on loan to a club in the second tier Championship.

According to today's report in the Telegraph:

"[Stoke coach Mark Hughes] is ready to send £2.5 million winger Brek Shea out on loan in an attempt to help his World Cup ambitions. Shea, the United States international, will be allowed out to clubs in the Championship after recovering from a knee ligament injury, with Hughes keen for him to play first-team football.

"US coach Jürgen Klinsmann has told the 23-year-old that he must be playing regularly to secure selection for next year's World Cup and is expected to move before the emergency loan window closes next month."

Shea has also struggled to see playing time for the U.S national team but did feature in this summer's Gold Cup where he scored game winning goals against Costa Rica and Panama in the final game.
