TORRES EXCUSED FROM DENMARK GAME
RICH FIDLER - Monday, November 16, 2009
US Soccer announced late Sunday night that midfidler Josť Francisco Torres has been removed from the roster for the friendly against Denmark on Wednesday evening for personal reasons.

The 22-year old, who was set to join the team following a match over the weekend, will leave the United States with a roster of 19 players to face the Danes in the home stadium of American midfielder Benny Feilhaber.

Torres started and played the first half as Pachuca and Tigres finished knotted at 1-1 in their final game of the Apertura. The diminutive Longview, Texas native has seen limited action for the US since announcing his decision to represent the US in October 2008.

On the other hand, Tigres defender Edgar Castillo has indeed flown to Denmark and will don the Red, White and Blue for the first time since FIFA approved his "one-time" switch.
