United States Soccer has announced the annual Nike Friendlies for the Under-17 National Team.

Just more than a few weeks removed from the Americans' quick exit at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the United States Soccer Federation already has exhibition matches lined up for the next U-17 class at the Bradenton Academy.

The new United States U-17 team - which is made up of players eligible for the 2011 U-17 World Cup - will face off against Portugal, Brazil, and the Netherlands in Phoenix, Arizona during the first weekend of December. Each game - December 4 against Portugal, December 5 against Brazil, and December 7 against Netherlands - will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel at 7pm (MT).

The annual Developmental Winter Showcase will coincide with the Nike International Friendlies in Phoenix, featuring eight teams comprised of youth players from around the country. The players on those teams will all have birth years between 1994 and 1991. These players have been selected by US Soccer's extensive youth scouting system, and will give them the opportunity to perform in front of United States coaches like Wilmer Cabrera (U-17s), Mike Matkovich (U-18s) and Thomas Rongen (U-20s), as well as more than 200 college scouts.

While Fox Soccer Channel will only be showing the United States U-17 team's games live, will have complete coverage of the entire weekend.
