Heading into this week's friendly against the Dutch, the US national team has seen more than its share of injuries that has decimated is roster of first-choice canidates.

Over the past several months, regulars Steve Cherundolo, Charlie Davies, Benny Feilhaber, Ricardo Clark, and Clint Dempsey have all worked towards the goal of making their way back from various injuries.

Today, USA fans received a bit of good news as AC Milan's central defender Oguchi Onyewu worked out with the US national team in Amsterdam.

US media were not allowed to interview Onyewu at today's practice but the defender was seen jogging with midfielder Jose Francisco Torres at the start of the session. He also went on to take part in a few drills with the team.

The 6-4 Onyewu has been out of action since October 11th when he suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee during the USA's final World Cup Qualifier against Costa Rica.

While the massive defender won't play versus the Dutch, it is certainly a sign that he his close to making his way back for the Stars and Stripes.
