BRIAN SCIARETTA - Monday, May 20, 2013
Tab Ramos today announced his US U-20 roster for the upcoming tournament in Toulon, France that will serve as the final preparations for the upcoming World Cup.

The roster is strong although it is missing several key players. Most obvious among the absentees are Luis Gil, DeAndre Yedlin, and Jose Villarreal who are all starting for their respective MLS teams. John Anthony Brooks is also missing from the team but it is unclear if he is committed to the US team.

The biggest surprise on the roster is Alonso Hernandez who has never taken part in a US camp before at any age group. The El Paso native began to earn first team minutes for Monterrey this season as they went on to win the CONCACAF Champions League for a third straight time.

Included on the rosters are regulars Juan Pablo Ocegueda, Shane O'Neill, Beji Joya, and Daniel Cuevas who all were regular starters in February's World Cup qualifying tournament.

The Toulon tournament will run from May 28 through June 8. The US team will open the tournament on May 28 against hosts France.
