US national team camp is only a day old, but the team has already suffered an alarming series of injuries.

US Soccer announced today that midfielder Maurice Edu and left back Corey Ashe have been forced to withdraw from the national team with injuries. Edu has suffered a hernia and Ashe is out with a groin injury.

The team also announced that winger Brek Shea is out with a calf strain and is seeking treatment in Dallas. He will rejoin the team once he is medically cleared.

At this time, US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann is reportedly not planning on calling in any replacements.

The Stars and Stripes are set to take on Belgium on Wednesday night in Cleveland, Ohio.
