Danny Williams will leave Germany for this first time to play professionally after agreeing to a transter to Reading

"Danny signed about an hour ago and it is a deal until 2017," Williams' agent Gordon Stipic told YA on Tuesday.

Williams, 24, began his career with Freiburg where he made his Bundesliga debut in 2010. He transferred to Hoffenheim in 2011 where he became a regular in defensive midfield. In his Bundesliga career he has scored one goal.

In 2011, the German-born Williams obtained his first American passport and was immediately capped but U.S head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. He has since been cap-tied to the US team playing in World Cup qualifiers for Brazil 2014. He has earned 12 caps to date.

Reading will play in the English Championship in 2013/14. Last season it played in the Premiership but was relegated following a 19th place finish.
