Three American's made appearances as Club Tijuana notched their first win of the season over Pachuca on Tuesday night.

Club Tijuana 1 - 0 Pachuca

Greg Garza started and played 90 minutes as the Xolos were fortunate to come away with a win, after a Pachuca goal was disallowed when the referees deemed it had not crossed the line. Replays of the clearance showed it had indeed crossed the line and should have been a goal.

Tijuana controlled much of the poession and had numerous scoring chances in the first half but Pachuca was able to keep them off the board with help from some big saves by Óscar Pérez.

Early on in the second half, a 48th minute free kick led to the match's only goal. The free kick from about 50 yards was initially headed out of the six yard box by Pachuca but found Francisco Martinez who one-touched the ball to an unmarked Diego Olsina, who calmly slotted the ball past a diving Pérez from four yards.

Edgar Castillo and Joe Corona were both subbed on in the 69th minutes, fresh from their Gold Cup celebration in Chicago. Paul Arriola was an unused substitute as well.

The Xolos next visit Morelia on Saturday before beginning CONCACAF Champions League play next Tuesday at El Salvador's Firpo.
