Neither Jong Twente nor Helmond could find a goal, as Charles Kazlauskas and his Helmond teammates miss a chance to climb up the Eerste Divisie standings.

Kazlauskas played all 90 minutes for Helmond Sport in the scoreless tie against FC Twente's youth team.

There was little action of note in the game, with Jong Twente providing the bulk of the games opportunities in front of only 441 spectactors in Twente's cavernous De Grolsch Veste stadium which can house over 30,000.

Wouter van der Steen was the star man for Helmond on the day, providing support to the struggling Helmond backline. Jari Oosterwijk found himself all alone on van der Steen twice in the second half, but the experienced goalkeeper was able to keep the 18 year Dutch starlet from providing Twente with the lead.

Kazlauskas began to venture up from his right back spot late in the game, and gave his team two opportunities to grab the win.

First, Kazlauskas put Kevin Visser one-on-one with Twente keeper Timo Pattel, but Visser was unable to convert. Shortly after, in the 88th minute, Kazlauskas attempted to launch a one touch volley from outside the penalty area, but it spiraled just wide of the right post.

The tie puts Helmond squarely in the middle of the 20 team Eerste Divisie standings at tenth place. Helmond don't get a rest at the international break as they take on Telstar on Sunday.
