PREVIEW: AJACCIO - NANTES
Fresh out of the international break Alejandro Bedoya and a hungry FC Nantes side will look to beat AC Ajaccio on the road in Ligue 1 action this Saturday.
Bedoya missed Nantes' last match due to illness, but is coming off two straight starts for the U.S. national team in the last two World Cup Qualifiers.
Bedoya has been a consistent starter since transferring to Nantes, and should get plenty of playing time at Ajaccio.
Nantes as a whole has had a stellar season so far, and they are currently in sixth place in the league table after playing in Ligue 2 last season.
AC Ajaccio, on the other hand has had a difficult season so far, and currently sits near the bottom of the Ligue 1 table.
Bedoya personally is feeling good about Nantes' chances going forward. He recently told The Ligue 1 Show that he believes Nantes can finish among the top ten this year.
Bedoya's success at Nantes and his recent starts for the national team are a testament to Bedoya's remarkable resiliency after his career hit a bit of a roadblock a couple years back with Rangers F.C.
In addition to his newfound club success, he remains in the mix for a roster spot in the World Cup this summer.
Bedoya does have a yellow card in Ligue 1 play, so he has to be careful about avoiding penalties.
