It could be a pivotal weekend for Aron Johannsson and AZ Alkmaar who could move towards the top of the Eredivisie standings when it visits PEC Zwolle

PEC Zwolle - AZ

Aron Johannsson and AZ have an opportunity to climb up the Eredevisie ladder on Sunday when they travel to take on PEC Zwolle. Eighth place AZ only trail league leaders FC Twente by three points after ten games, while third place PEC Zwolle are just one point shy of first place.

Johannsson continued his brilliant start for AZ last weekend, netting two goals and providing an assist on his teams other score on their way to a 3 - 1 victory over Cambuur in new AZ manager Dick Advocaat's first game at the helm. Maarten Martens deserves a pat on the back from Johannsson fans, as the Belgian international has provided the assist on each of The Iceman's last three goals. Johannsson now has seven goals this season, putting him at third place in the Eredivisie scoring chart.

Undefeated in their last four, PEC Zwolle are coming off of a 6 - 1 demolition of ADO Den Haag. Leading scorer Fred Benson scored two of Zwolle's goals last weekend and figures to be a primary concern for AZ on Sunday. Another player to watch for the hosts is midfielder Mateusz Klich. The Polish international assisted on Zwolle's first four goals against Den Haag.

Eli Babalj and Donny Gorter are both unavailable for AZ this weekend while Diedrik Boer, Ronne Reniers, and Jesper Drost will miss the game for PEC Zwolle.

FC Oss - Helmond Sport

Charles Kazlauskas and Helmond look to end their inconsistent ways on Friday when they visit FC Oss. Undefeated in their last three games, Helmond are in tenth place in the packed middle of the Eerste Divisie standings. With only three points seperating places four through ten, a win could help Helmond take a big leap in the league.

Helmond are yet to string together a four game undefeated streak this season, and Friday could pose their best opportunity to do it thus far. Oss have struggled mightily this season, with only seven points through 13 games. Currently in last place in the league, Oss also sport a -24 goal differential this season.

Helmond's joint leading scorers, Davy Brouwers and Serhat Koc, will be thankful to be going up against the worst defense in the Eerste Divisie by virtue of goals allowed. Both Helmond attackers have scored seven league goals this year, while FC Oss has only scored seven as a team this year.

Both Koen Weuts and Juanito Sequeira are out of the game for Helmond with yellow card bans while FC Oss are not reporting any absences.
