BRANDON WIGGINS - Monday, March 3, 2014
Alejandro Bedoya and FC Nantes were unable stop their Ligue 1 skid when they lost on the road at Evian this weekend.

Bedoya started and played 67 minutes in a primarily central midfield role. The American was on the field for the first goal of the match, in the 61st minute, when Evian's CÚdric Barbosa received a through ball from Olivier Sorlin and buried his shot into the middle of the goal.

Evian added another in the 77th minute after Bedoya was substituted off the field, when Daniel Wass scored off of a free kick.

This loss makes seven straight matches without a win for Nantes, five of which were losses. Nantes is now 15th in the Ligue 1 table, and nine points ahead of Valenciennes in the relegation zone.

There is some good news for Nantes, they will soon get leading scorer Filip Djordjevic back from a three-game suspension due to a red card incident against Lyon.

Plus, this Saturday, Bedoya and Nantes will have their best chance yet to break the skid when they host Ajaccio. Ajaccio is currently last place in Ligue 1 with 14 points this season, eight points behind the two teams directly ahead of them in the standings.
