PREVIEW: LILLE - NANTES
Alejandro Bedoya and FC Nantes have a tough task this Saturday when they head on the road to play Lille in Ligue 1 action.
Lille is currently in third place in Ligue 1 and on a two game winning streak.
Nantes, on the other hand, is in the middle of an eight game Ligue 1 skid in which they have not won a match, a skid that goes all the way back to January.
The slide leaves them in 15th place in Ligue 1, seven points ahead of Valenciennes in the relegation zone.
Nantes' most recent result was a particularly tough one, a draw at home against last-place AC Ajaccio. Bedoya was not a starter in that match, but he came on in the 24th minute due to an injury to Papy Djilobodji.
The downturn is just a part of what has been a brutal 2014 calendar year for Nantes. In addition to their on the field struggles, they were recently given a ban on signing new players until the summer of 2015 due to breaching the contract of Al Nasr forward Ismael Bangoura.
Bedoya, however, has managed to see regular playing time with the club either as a starter or as one of the first choice substitutes, a good sign for him as he needs to stay in form with Jurgen Klinsmann's final World Cup roster decisions drawing nearer and nearer.
Bedoya does, however, have two yellow cards in Ligue 1, so he must be careful to avoid another one.
