The U.S. national team will play its first match after the World Cup on September 3 against the Czech Republic in Prague.

The last time the two teams played was in 2010 in Hartford ahead of the World Cup. Playing mostly a reserve team, the Czechs won 4-2.

The United States is currently ranked 14th in the latest FIFA rankings and are preparing for the World Cup where the team will face Ghana, Portugal, and Germany in Group G. Following the World Cup, the next major tournament for the U.S. will be the 2015 Gold Cup.

The Czech Republic is presently ranked 30th in the FIFA rakings and is coming off an unsuccessful World Cup qualifying campaign. Most recently the Czechs played to a 2-2 draw with Norway earlier this month.
