RECAP: REAM, FULHAM WEMBLEY BOUND
Tim Ream and Fulham have booked their spot at Wembley Stadium for the Championship play-off final after blanking Derby County in the second leg of their semi-final contest.
Fulham 2-0 Derby County (Fulham win 2-1 on aggregate)
Goals from Ryan Sessegnon and Denis Odoi helped Fulham overcome their first leg deficit and set them one step away from promotion back to Premier League with their win over Derby County at Craven Cottage.
Ream started the contest in his usual central defensive role for the Cottagers.
Fulham did not play badly in the first leg, but were let down by several missed chances while their opponents claimed the win to put them at an advantage coming into Monday's game.
The host started the game in an attack-minded mode and came close on several occasions to leveling the aggregate score. It would be a relentless 45 minutes with Fulham attacking the Derby County goal. The Rams would have to thank their goalkeeper Scott Carson for making a few key saves to keep the game scoreless.
Fulham also had a legitimate penalty not called by the referee when Aleksandar Mitrovic was dragged down by Craig Forsyth. Video replays showed the Scottish defender pulling the Serb down in the area by his jersey.
However, the Londoners finally found the goal they were looking for within minutes of the second half when Sessegnon collected a chested-down pass from Stefan Johansen and made no mistakes in making sure the ball hit the back of the net.
Odoi added Fulham's second in the 66th minute when he headed in a Sessegnon corner kick.
Fulham were in complete dominance of the game and deserved the win as the final whistle came to end it all.
The Cottagers now await the winner of the other semi-final between Middlesbrough and Aston Villa.
