PREVIEW: WEEKEND BELGIAN ACTION
Niko Gkionis and Royal Liege do battle at home this weekend, while Laurent Manuel's KV Oostende travels to Wetteren in Exqi League action.
Royal Liege - Turnhout
After hitting the back of the net for Liege last weekend in a losing effort, American Niko Gkionis will be hopeful of a place in the starting 11 when they face off against Turnhout.
Gkionis and Liegeois are certainly struggling this season and it's a must-win game for Raphaël Quaranta, but the visitors are also trying to get out of the relegation zone before the Christmas break.
Les Sang et Marine are suffering from a few injuries, French defender Hans Dibi is unavailable with a foot injury and his fellow countryman Bryan Mélisse is still out with an ankle injury. Former Millwall midfielder Christophe Kinet, as well as Pino Canale and Gilles Cezar will have to pass a fitness test before kick-off to see if they will be selected.
Turnhout, who lost at home to FC Brussels last weekend and are only seven points better than Liege in the standings, are reporting no injuries at this time, so the visiting team go into the game with a full squad at the disposal of head coach René Desaeyere.
Laurent Manuel is not expected to feature for Oostende when they take on 10th place Wetteren.
