CLARK TRYING LUCK AT HONEFOSS
Goalkeeper Steve Clark says that he is now on trial at newly-promoted Honefoss after not receiving a contract offer from fellow Norwegian Eliteserien club Stabaek.
Clark had spent several weeks with the Baerum club and was hoping to receive an offer from the club following his play in a preseason friendly.
The Michigan native explains that even though Stabaek has not offered at this time, a deal could still come to fruition pending the club's current goalkeeping situation.
"Stabaek has not offered yet but from what I have heard, they could still be offering," Clark recently told YA. "They are still working on the movement of their goalkeepers."
In the meantime, the former Oakland University standout says that he is trying his luck with Honefoss, a club that was promoted last season from the 1. Division following their third place finish in Norway's second level of soccer.
"I am on trial with Honefoss," confirmed Clark.
The 23 year old netminder will hope to lock down a contract with either of the two Eliteserien clubs prior to the start of the 2010 season.
