After injuring his ankle yesterday during training, results show that Aarhus midfielder Benny Feilhaber has cartilage damage and will be rested before re-examination.

The club initially tabbed the injury a severe sprain with the expectation that Feilhaber would miss a couple weeks.

However after a full review of yesterday's test results, doctors at the Danish club conclude that the timeline for the US International's return is still unknown.

"Specialists have now reviewed the images that were conducted yesterday and the conclusion is that Benny has a cartilage injury in his ankle," said AGF press officer Christian Haarsløv to YA.

Haarsløv added that the former UCLA standout will be rested for the next week and a half and will then undergo another evaluation by team doctors.

"Initially, he will be rested for 10 days. Then his ankle will be scanned again and the medical staff will evaluate the situation," he concluded.

The injury all but rules out Feilhaber for the US national team international friendly versus Holland on March 3rd.

The Brazilian-born midfielder will hope to return to Superliga action in time for the re-start of the Danish season on March 7th.
