NICK LEYDEN - Sunday, March 21, 2010
Euan Holden was the only Yank to see action this weekend, as he made his league debut for Vejle Boldklub.

Vejle Boldklub 0 – 2 FC Fredericia

Euan Holden came on for fellow debutant Sedin Alic in the 72nd minute of Vejle's 2-0 loss to league leaders Fredericia.

It was a physical contest in which neither team was consistently threatening. Kenneth Møller Pedersen took advantage of a rare opportunity in the 60th minute, however, to open the scoring for the visitors on a free kick.

Holden's introduction on the left side of midfield could do nothing to stop Fredericia from icing the game on a Kenan Hajdarevic header seven minutes from time, particulalrly after Jesper Jensen's ejection reduced the home team to 10 men.

The 22 year old will look to earn more time in Vejle's next game, a visit to fifth place Næstved on March 28th. Currently Vejle sits in eighth place, 10 points adrift of promotion.

Forwards Chris Rolfe and Marcus Tracy both missed out on AaB's 3-0 win at relegation bound Køge through injury.

For the third game in a row defender Michael Parkhurst watched from the bench as FC Nordsjælland defeated third place Esbjerg 1-0 at home.
