Jonathan Spector was at fault for one goal in West Ham's poor display at Anfield, while Kenny Cooper didn't even make the bench at Plymouth.

Liverpool 3 - 0 West Ham

Jonathan Spector went 80 minutes in the leaky West Ham defense as Liverpool cruised to a easy victory.

Yossi Benayoun scored the first goal for Liverpool against his former club just 19 minutes in. Spector gave up an uneccessary free kick in his own half, and Steven Gerrard whipped in a dangerous free kick that Benayoun directed goalwards with his chest.

David Ngog added another 10 minutes later, scoring off a superb first touch shot. Maxi Rodriguez sent in a dangerous ball from the right flank, and Ngog smoked a shot straight at Robert Green who was beaten for sheer pace.

Green was then punished even further when Gerrards free kick was directed goal wards by Sitirios Kyrgiakos in the 59th. The Greek's shot hit the post, rebounding off and colliding with Green's knee before bouncing back into his own net.

West Ham's Julien Faubert and Radoslav Kovac were the only two booked, with Spector being subbed out for 19 year old Fabio Daprela. The Hammers still have a chance as Wigan come to Upton Park on Saturday.

Kenny Cooper did not even suit up as Newcastle came to Plymouth, as Newcastle cruised to a 2-0 victory to claim automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
