PREVIEW: WEEKEND DANISH ACTION
Jamil Fearrington and Roskilde will try to get back on track as they host reeling Thisted over the weekend while Babajide Ogunbiyi and Viborg have a few extra days to ponder their growing winless streak.
FC Roskilde - Thisted FC
Jamil Fearrington will do his best to help Roskilde put on a better defensive performance than last weekend's 3-0 collapse, and give the team a bit more breathing room above the drop zone when Thisted FC come to visit on Sunday afternoon.
A pair of close losses to promotion hunting Fredericia and Lyngby were enough to knock Roskilde down a rung from their previous hot streak, allowing last week's opponents Naestved BK the chance to inflict a 3-0 drubbing, killing whatever last bit of momentum they had built up.
With four games left on the schedule they still sit three points and a superior goal differential ahead of the relegation places, but will need to be careful as another big loss could put them right into the thick of danger.
Thisted themselves could use a pick-up as their schedule has seen them pitted against the same three previous opponents as Roskilde, similarly losing all three game, however being outscored by an appalling 10-1 margin. They are in slightly better position than their opponents, having a five-point safety net along with a game in hand, and will be trying to effectively put themselves on sure footing during the season's final month.
Roskilde continue to be without long-term absences Morten Avnskjold, who suffered catastrophic leg injury during last summer's pre-season preparations and forward Tobias Perch-Nielsen, who recently underwent surgery on his meniscus. Midfielder Stefan Schmidt also continues to struggle with a knee injury.
Thisted have had nearly two weeks to rest up since their own 3-0 loss to Naestved, meaning that forward Peter Bechmann could be back in action from injury after training during the week, although marksman Christian Andreasen is still a way away from being back on the field as he recovers from an Achilles injury.
Babajide Ogunbiyi will have the weekend off as Viborg will travel to Vejle on Wednesday, who will be without defender Euan Holden due to a long-standing injury problem.
